vertical farm

Is the future of agriculture vertical?

Today we are introducing a concept that is becoming increasingly popular not only within the agricultural world, but above all within social reasoning and related to the resolution of some fundamental problems, such as dealing with the overpopulation of the planet and the sustainability of our species. Human beings continue to increase in number every year and this represents a problem, even if at the moment it seems to be perceived only in some parts of the world, the poorest. In particular, this problem is linked to two pillars of our life: space and food. An innovation from the agricultural world could lend a hand in both directions: let’s discover the vertical farms.

A vertical farm is a vertical building used for cultivation using techniques other than those we are used to in traditional agriculture. The advantage of a vertical farm is precisely the verticality: the possibility of being able to cultivate by moving upwards rather than on a horizontal line allows for numerous advantages in terms of space optimization.
